This is a long shot for you. We found that sometimes out refer wouldn't run on gas. After doing some searching online and some testing at the unit itself. We found that there was a poor connection between one or both of the electrical crimp on connectors at the gas solenoid. I could hold the terminals to the solenoid and it would light /work, but when not being held it was a******shoot. The answer was to use a zip tie to put some pressure on the wiring connectors at the solenoid so that there would be a connection. Usually crimping the connectors a little tighter would do the job, but my efforts failed there for reasons unknown to me.
Back to the basics - make sure you are getting gas to the burner. Check the electrical connections at the solenoid and make sure gas is being passed by the solenoid. If necessary for testing, a propane bbq lighter can be used to light the unit if it doesn't light on it's own.
