How's the flame look? Can you post a picture?
I also have an '07 N621 in my truck camper (95 percent sure it's a 621 anyway). I couple of years ago I had melting ice cream during our trip. I got working better with some gentle wire brushing then but when I got home I removed the burner tube complete to get it fully clean. It's been working fine since. I also bought a spare thermistor that I carry on board but never installed it.
