This is what I would do after you set it back upright for the 12 hours you suggested. Do not reinstall it.
Find or buy a short extension cord and cut off the female end. Strip the two wires and attach two male spade terminals. Remove the refrigerator 120VAC heating element wires from the circuit board. Plug the two heating element wires into your modified extension cord. Now plug the male end of the extension cord into a powered 120VAC outlet.
You have now bypassed all controls and are hot-wired direct to the element. Put a bowl of water (about a quart) in the freezer. Put a quart of water on the lower shelf of the refrigerator. Let run for 24 hours. The water temperature in the refrigerator should be about 33 to 36 degrees F.
If the water is the freezer is frozen (it should be) use a $10 digital thermometer and place it in the freezer for 2 minutes. The temperature should be around 0-5 degrees F.
If you don't get these numbers, the cooling unit is bad.
This is basically what my dealer did with our fridge when it wasn't cooling well. The fridge was working fine. It turned out the the LP gas pressure was low. A new regulator fixed the problem.
