Well everybody, it seems like something is working now. The pipes are heating up where they didn't heat up before. Before, the bottom most pipe would only get hot about a foot out and then it was cold the rest of the way up. Now, I have a bunch of gurgling where I didn't hear it before and the pipes are heating up as far up as I can reach in back with the vent cover off. That's a good sign. I bought a digital infrared thermometer gun....it's a general IRT207, which is pretty much junk in my opinion because it throws readings all over the place.... but it's saying the freezer is 23.7°F, where it never got that cold before using the same gun.... the coldest it got to was about 30° or so.... and that was after 12 hours. It's reporting 23.7° after little over an hour.
My concern now is with the refrigerator because it still reporting 63.5° after an hour and a half. I know that we are supposed to let these things work for many hours..... even overnight...so I will be patient. My father has the same freezer in his, just a little larger and his freezer gets below zero within the hour. I am on the highest setting right now
