Thank you very much for the comment rrupert. I'm going to buy a refrigerator fan, I've been hearing that they're helpful and will follow your advice.
Well everybody, the refrigerator and freezer unit are now working. After 18 hours upside down, rocking it back-and-forth from side to side, banging on it lightly with a rubber mallet, and letting it sit upright for 10 hours before plugging it back in, the unit cools. I left it plugged in last night, and came back (14 hours or so) and there's ice in the freezer, and the refrigerator is very cold. It's hard to tell with the thermal gun that I have, but it saying that the freezer is unreadable (it only goes to -4F) and the refrigerator is 37.5F.
I did all the work myself, including removing the refrigerator in this small 17 foot trailer, and I'm not joking...there barely was an inch of clearance. I did manage to put a few scrapes into the trailer about moving the refrigerator around, but not too bad.
Make sure you put down a carpet on the linoleum like I did when you move the refrigerator... it definitely helps a lot, and keeps the linoleum from getting scratched up.
I also used the couch, and collapsed the dinette into a bed... and use both of them to turn the refrigerator upside down and back-and-forth..
Aside from the few scrapes here and there, I'm happy so far.
I'm cautiously optimistic, and I am going to run the refrigerator on setting 5 for a day (9 is the max) or so just to let things circulate. I hope it continues to cool, but so far it's looking good! I don't think it's necessary to run it on its highest setting, I'm just concerned with letting things circulate for a few days.
