nylon Kitchen faucet stems

The stems on our kitchen faucet appear to be nylon. The screws that hold the handles to the stems will not hold tight. I tighten them up and in a couple of days they are loose again. They are a screw type thread not a machine thread.
Would Loctite fix this, or is there something better?
This in a mh.

Thanks,
Dusty

I should have told you guys that the mh is a 2015 class C Itasca 27Q.

I have Moen in house I bought this year and likely it is original -22 years old.
Moen send me replaced handle and then send me new hose for pull-out, but could not find adapter to connect new hose with older faucet. Finally they decline any help since I am not original owner.
Between my remodeling carrier and landloarding, I found Delta faucet below the most reliable. It uses rubber seals who last for a decade and cost couple of bucks (some cartridges on new faucet can run $50)
The model also has a twin with sprayer.
My campers come with those faucets BTW

Be careful under there if the RV has a Stainless Steel Drop Sink. In my cousin's new Crossroads Cruiser, the back edge of the sink is turned down 90* to stiffen it, and the exposed edge is razor sharp.

Some faucets do have lifetime warranty, although if a manufacturer put quality faucet in RV, that would be the first one I hear.
Take the steam to Home Depot and match a new one. Gluing old one will be short-living.

Winnebago uses Moen in most of their Class As nowadays. At least they did the last time I looked at new ones 3 or 4 years ago.
  • Replace the cheap plastic with a metal and you won't have that problem.

Replace with a normal household metal faucet. Even if yours came with a lifetime warranty, it would just mean repetitive pains of replacement again and again - not worth it.

Beware that many faucets in Home Depot and other stores these days are not metal, though look like metal - it says "non-metallic" in description. Siver-ish paint on plastic will peel off soon.

Metal faucets fail too, especially single-handle type (and those are more expensive to repair).

PS: yes, Loctite would fix those el-cheapo screws in plastic... forever :). When cartridges fail and the time comes to replace the faucet, you'll cut it off and buy a better faucet.
  • Go buy a new faucet in your favorite brand. There no harder to replace than one at home.
