According to Ultrapower, the RV 24 is not listed as maintenance Free. They do not show a RV-24, but they do show a EV-24 Now, to your statement about previous batteries were not really sealed. Maintenance batteries mostly have NO removable caps even if they have caps. They are glued or locked somehow to prevent you from accessing the cells. Of course, after 39 years in the RV business, except for AGM batteries, I do not believe that you can have RV deep Cycle maintenance free batteries. They sell them, but I would not want or use such a battery for deep cycle use. Seen too many failures of them over the years. Doug
