Onan carburetor float has fuel inside of float

My Onan Marquis Gold 7000 will run for about 15 seconds and then appears to flood out and die. Took carburetor off, removed the bowl, and the float itself is full of fuel. I'm thinking that is the p...

Here are the remarks from PPL Motorhomes.

"Genuine Cummins Onan 0541-0765 carburetor fits gasoline models HGJAA, HGJAB, HGJAC, HGJAE, & HGJAF. Replaces 146-0774. There is no repair kit available through Onan, just this complete carb."

$220.00 for the carb not including shipping...all I need is a plastic float that's why id really like to find a suitable replacement.
