Onan install... 5.5 or 6.5
I have been quoted to have an Onan 5.5 installed in my genny compartment... What are the pro's and con's of a 6.5 - vs - 5.5 ? Is the extra KW's and rpm worth the $800.00 up charge?

CJ typical two pole run at 3600 and four pole run at 1800
so i'm thinking your generator head is belt drive from the motor
not directly connected, engine runs at 2400, generator head is either 1800 or 3600
Onan does have belt drive on some generators, but i thought it was only on the quiet diesel water cooled models
