one burner stove?

Our 3 burner stove has only one burner that is adjustable, the other 2 are on or off.
Are we missing something? How can one cook with those?
Is the top part replaceable with 3 adjustable burners?

Definitely doesn't sound like any stove I've ever heard of. Propane stove I'm assuming?

That is new to me as well. We do have one burner that puts out more BTU than the rest but all three are adjustable as they sould be
