Overhead bed spot lights out, side lights too

I've done the preliminaries: fuzes OK, breakers OK no other lights affected just the two directly over the head of the bed (2 small spots), and two side lights next to the pillows controlled by one switch. I've pulled each light to check the wires and check for power - wires OK, no power. I've not taken the switch apart because from the look of the switch, it appears to be just a snap in and it's either in or not? The issue started with a burnt bulb. Removed old bulb, replaced with new - then no power. Again I've checked GFIs, fuzes, and each of the four lights for loose wires and power. None and no. My thoughts are: another wire behind the headboard or in the ceiling? Wire on the back of the switch? Any other ideas before I start tearing things apart and the DW really gets aggravated at the additional mess I've made!

If you have no power at the bulb socket or switch, and all of the fuses are OK I would start tracing the wires back to their source. When doing this you are going to find a break in the wire or a loose connection somewhere. Could possibly be a ground wire is corroded or has come loose not allowing the circuit to be completed. JMO

This is what I suspect as well - I'll have to wait until the outside temps are a bit above 10 degrees before I begin digging into walls!
  • If you know which fuse is for the circuit the lights are on, check the working light nearest to the non working lights on the same circuit for a loose wire. If ok, follow the wires to the nonworking light.
