Once the power supply is out of the current limit range, the battery is nearing a voltage level that cannot take that much charge, the voltage will become constant and the current will vary.
If one power supply is set at a slightly higher voltage than the other, the one with the higher voltage setting will deliver more current while the supply with the lower voltage setting will deliver less or none.
