One thing I think to keep in mind is we are placing a much larger potential load on these psu's than their current-limited rating, as opposed to placing say a 16a (battery charger)load on a 20a psu. We are replacing the battery charger's role with the power supply itself. Clearly, they have not been marketed to be used in such a way, but within reason, they can be. A realistic duty cycle must be considered when choosing a psu for such a task.
