Let's see. I just paralleled 2 of the cheapOwatts. Set one pot to 13.2 the 2nd to 13.3. No output load. Open circuit.
Threw the AC switch. The PS with the lower voltage emitted a high pitch squeal almost beyond my hearing. I shut power down. Reset the PS pots voltages inversely, same values. This time the -other- PS "squealed". Onto the MEANWELL 36 volt units. One set at 32 volts the 2nd set at 33. Threw the power switch. The fuse in the higher set voltage meanwell failed. This is open circuit.
Fascinating.
I've a pair of TO-5 silicon rectifiers ready for use with the higher voltage Meanwells. The Cheapos of course get the Shottky rectifiers.
