I played around with the 1st Cheapo today. The pot is a hoot. Kick a table leg and voltage leaps a few hundreds of a volt. Breathe on it and it'll swing into second column changes. But one thing I did note. Kitchen circuit voltage drooped more plugging in the cheapo than it does firing off an eleven hundred watt microwave. It drooped even more than firing off a 1,650 watt tungsten heater. The inrush must be impressive*. Something to note if considering use with a small generator. With multiple power supplies I am going to be forced to use an on-on-on AC power switch to keep from faulting a 30-amp circuit breaker.
