I can't see any abrasions or signs of where the leaks would be. I can hear them if I lift the hose to move the contents along. I don't really drag the hoses as such, but I guess they get pulled around a bit when setting up and breaking camp, but since they're empty, surely they can't get damaged that easily?
In reading up a bit, I see the EZ Coupler hose is vinyl. Seems to me that vinyl isn't really a durable material. It looks like the more HD ones are made from polyethylene or other material. There's a nice looking one called Smooth Bor, but it's not available with fittings already attached. The Drainmaster one looks nice but where is it available?
The Thetford SmartDrain hose sounds good since they state "The longest lasting, most durable sewer system available!". Sold me right there, lol.
I agree with the comment that you think this stuff would last longer than it does. 3 years is pitiful.
I think from now on I will clean the hoses out at the end of the year and store them open ended inside in the winter where it's warmer.
