- ScottGNomadThe answer to your question is yes.
- jhilleyExplorerYes, all you need to do is connect a 50 amp female to 30 amp dog bone to the shore power cord and then put a 30 amp female to 15/20 amp male dogbone on the end of the 50/30 amp dogbone into the 30 amp female end of the 30 amp to 30/20 amp dogbone and plug the 20 amp plug into the inverter. You could also make your own adapter using a 50 amp female receptacle wired with both hot sides of the 50 amp plug connected to the hot side of the 20 amp plug. I would just build it in a 4" square electrical handi box with cord restraints on each cable. Just buy a 50 to 30 amp adapter and cut off the 30 amp plug and use that as the input cable. You can easily make your own 20 amp side with a short length of 10 gauge SO cord and receptacle end.

- Test your ig's current setup.
Unplug shore power and see if your microwave and the tv/VCR/ DVD has power.
I am guessing if the inverter was installed correctly(my opinion) they should work without any changes required. - zorro1421ExplorerI want to run the micro and tv/dvd/sat
- What are you trying to accomplish?
The larger inverter should be feeding most or all of what 120 volt younormally would be using. - zorro1421ExplorerI am sorry how I asked my question. What I meant was can I plug my shore power directly into my 2000 watt inverter, The inverter does not have a charger. I have a 75 amp converter, but I would have to turn it off along with electric water heater and put frig on L.p. So my question is with all that said can I just plug shore power cord into my inverter
- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
If it is just an inverter, simply use an adapter and plug in the shore power cable. You will want to turn off the converter, and set the fridge to gas. - FishinghatExplorer IILike the others, I'm not sure what your question is.
I'm going to assume you are asking if you can plug your shore line power cord into the receptacle in your power bay to power up your coach from the generator. That receptacle should be a female plug for the cord to plug into.
To power up your coach from the inverter, your power cord would not be plugged into anything. At least, that's the "normal" way things are set up. The inverter should be the "default" power source when shore power or generator power isn't available.
If I didn't understand your question correctly, then the above information won't make any sense to you. If that's the case, I apologize. - The inverter may have a charger. Plugging shore power into an inverter/charger will try to make perpetual motion. Not possible!
Not sure exactly what your question is?
