OP asked for a 'battery' operated fan.
Yes you can plug the o2cools in to run just like any other electrical fan. But it has been my experience that if you have to use it on the batteries which are D batteries which are very expensive? The run time is less than an hour on low and 15 minutes on high!
My gen broke down on the way thru the south in a very hot summer. Making for a dangerous situation for my dogs in the MH because I could not run the coach air. I spent the next hours driving stopping to feed that fan with batteries which did add up to $100 bucks!!
That's when I pulled into Home Depot and said there HAS to be a better battery operated fan!!:B:W
