"Or is it just during the start up of the generator? So give it 20 seconds to get running before you plug in"
We just had a thread about this sequence. Get the gen run up first, then plug in. Disconnect the load first, then shut down. Basic!
My Honda EU3000is will start in Eco in the cold, but if I plug in my 100 amp charger right then the Honda conks out (motor quits). I have learned the hard way, to get it running first with Eco off, let it warm up, then plug in the 100 amper, and then switch to Eco on.
