Thanks to all that replied... I in no way saying that the Progressive Industries HW EMS doesn't do what I bought it for..protect me from incorrect power inputs, surges and in a couple of cases, low line voltage.. It works perfect and I am glad I have it.. To solve my issue, I have decided to install plugs and just remove it on the occasions when the generator will be used..
