I'm using the Sola Basic from Mexico. Cost was $219 USD. One of our members transported it to Canada for me.
The PI is pretty sour apples from my point of view as it doesn't meet any of my wants, and few of my needs.
Without the autoformer I would not be able to run the roof air today and the ambient temperature is 31.6 c (89 f) with a forecast high of 33 c (91 f). The voltage drop would cause the PI to shut off.

You don't say what autoformer you are using but the 50 amp Hughes is in the $600.00 range. Double the price of the PI unit.
We are comparing apples and oranges and expecting them to taste the same!;)
