Think of Neg as the ground, makes no sense disconnecting it when it's literally sitting on it. As the boater noted, there is more risk to make a spark if Pos remains connected. It will "work" either way, but switch on Pos is better. - BTPO1ExplorerOn my MH I put my battery cut out switch on the negative side.
- Bill___KateExplorerBottom line is it doesn't really matter on a trailer - both work, and you can argue it either way. I came out of boats, and I think positive is the best way to go as there is no "potential" voltage anywhere - can't hit anything hot and make a spark ....
