The "jacks down light" is controlled by a float switch in the reservoir. When the jacks are retracted, the fluid returns to the reservoir and if full enough it will float the switch and turn the "light" off. So if the jacks are fully retracted and the "light" is still on, you need to add some fluid, Dexron III. I use a flexible spout pump oil can like a Plews oil can filled with dexron III. and squirt fluid in until it is almost full and then see if the light goes off. Try it,
