Excuse me, I was responding to the statement "Also not legal or in compliance with NEC to back feed any utility power. Must be separated with a transfer switch and that defeats the purpose."
Having a grid tie system myself, I'm well aware of the details of how to legally backfeed the grid, which is why I said "I'm not meaning to encourage this idea" before stating that the blanket statement about backfeeding is not correct.
