15,000 hours is a LOT of hours for a 12 turn (1,200 RPM diesel genset).
Let's do a little math...
15,000 hours, say powering a car at 50 mph.
That would be the equivalent of SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY T-H-O-U-S-A-N-D miles.
With an engine that does not have an oil filter or micron capable air filter.
Cummins, Detroit 60 series and Caterpillar big rig engines are overdue for an inframe at that mileage. For a Honda aluminum engine to try and compete is well how can I say this delicately...miraculous?
