Didn't look a the schematic. Bipolar FET MOSFET the effect is the same. The FW bridge rectifiers are pretty stout. I haven't seen really top notch choices for switching devices in any of the units I've pulled apart. Same for heat sink bonding. So if rebuilding for longevity, I upgrade it pays off. Same for the capacitors. Panasonic low ESR bite at the wallet but last a long time. I lose patience if parts need Velcro and wing nuts.
