Propane Level?

I have 2 propane tanks on my TT and have no idea how full the tanks are. They can be removed and weighed but would like to be able to glance at it and know.

I have read that the after market gauges are not accurate since pressures basically stay the same no matter how full the tanks are.

The adhesive strips would be ok, are they accurate?

Any suggestions?

  • We leave one closed. When you run out with one tank your at 1/2. Fill the empty before the other runs out.
  • I learned to keep one tank closed and full from having both tanks empty one cond December at 2 a.m. Woke to an arctic blast from my furnace. You never forget those lessons.

That sounds like the simplest way, I guess it doesnt really matter as long as I have one full tank at all times. Its not like I will be out for weeks at a time in cold weather.

Typical usage will be weekends in the warmer months.
