This has happened to Carbs for many, many decades - long before Ethanol was added.
Are you suggesting the problem is some how worse now?
Yep. People's habits haven't changed, but their carbs are gunking up worse than before. So something has changed. I'm thinking it has something to do with this: Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. So maybe not decades, but a decade.
