Turbine engines in cars/trucks have already been experimented with years ago and dropped as a bad idea. If you have ever operated a turbine engine you KNOW that they have horrible throttle response and do NOT like changing RPM'S constantly. That's why they are much more common to aircraft and stationary power applications rather than vehicles. (not to say that there aren't mobile land applications where they are used) Turbine engines require materials that are generally cost prohibitive for common transportation applications. They will run on just about anything flammable though.
