- NinerBikesExplorerTop the tank off and see if it then primes.
- 3oaksExplorerDid you drain your hot water tank? If you did, the water pump will fill the water heater tank before building up pressure at the faucets.
What NinerBikes suggested. Plus, if the water pump is not priming, open a faucet to allow the air in the lines to escape. - DutchmenSportExplorerIf you have a winterizing attachment at the pump, make sure the valve has not been flipped. Strange things happen, even the vibration from the camper moving (it's possible) to cause the valve handle to move.
- Bob_ShawExplorerMy money is on the winterizing valve or the pump/city water valve in the wrong position....been there done that.
- pulsarExplorerCan you fill the fresh water tank through the city water connector? If so, if that valve is set to fill tank instead of normal, the pump cannot pressurize.
Tom - ivbinconnedExplorer IIDealer gave me new pump today.
This trailer is an 09, 34 TSA. I note the pump is over 6 feet away from the water tank. Both the pump suction hose and the fill hose go up from the tank and the back down to the pump. With the fill hose going back up one more time. Doesn't make for efficient filling.
Not pressed with the plumbing!
If it does this again I will drain tank into pails to see how much water is still in tank. Hopefully the pump can suck the tank dry. - Harvey51Explorer

Me, too.
I also had priming trouble for several years. Tank below pump. The pump would only prime itself when the tank was filled to overflowing. A new membrane in the pump fixed that.
