Quality bottle jack?
I am throwing in the towel on cheap bottle jacks from Harbor Freight, Farm & Fleet, etc. Who sells good ones that will last? I realize that a good one will probably cost 3-4 times what I've been pay...

Funny that you should bring this up. I have used bottle jacks for years and when I went out on the road, I went to the Farm and Ranch Store in my area and picked one up. It lasted 1 year and failed when I was out in the middle of no where. Due to the weight of my rig and remote boondocking, I needed one for those times, well, when I needed one.
Last week I picked up a 20ton Bottle Jack from Lowes. Like Sears they have a warranty on their tools and this new Bottle Jack is one of their KOBALT branded tools. Yep, I feel your concern and went to the nearest Big Box Store (Lowes) in the next big town I came to.
