In 2008 in Morelia, I visited a large Sears store. They were asking eqvt of sixteen US Dollars for a single 3/8" nutdriver and when I asked about the warranty the salesman looked at me like I was insane. I might check out damaged screw extractors and rounded off fastener socket sets. Mexican warranty proceedure involves arguing and waiting weeks so a replacement arrives before they give you the one off their shelf. A Proto 3/8" socket set standard and deep costs eqvt of $160.00 US Dollars.
I will ponder your opinions and suggestionsvand refrain from leveraged Sears stock purchases.
In the States, just simply walk in with any broken Craftsman wrench with lifetime warranty and you WILL walk out that day with a new replacement. No questions asked..
Been there, done that..
Broke a few sockets, screw drivers and a 3/8 ratchet over the years.. All exchanged the same day I brought them in.
No charge, no receipt, no paperwork, no hassle.
Might have to see if Kmart will honor the lifetime warranty the same way :M
