Question for elec techs
I installed a 120v led light outside on the garage, and decided to switch the white wire, instead of the black (hot) wire. All worked fine, except for when it got dark, the light burned about 1/4 brig...

If there was a chance of a wire to a lite being damaged, which one would choose, the white or the black ?
That's why I chose to break the white instead of the black.
Question,....if code let you break either wire, I'd bet you'd be ok w/ breaking the white wire.
Myself ?? I see nothing bad about the black wire to a lite being hot all the time. Isn't that what happens when the lite is on all the time ?? I know,..I've always had trouble using too much common sense.
