Question for those with EMS-HW50C
I was thinking of getting one of these for use with my 30Amp trailer because there's a chance we'll end up with 50Amp service in the trailer in the future.
What happens with this unit when you don't have 50A/240V service and one of the 120 legs is "dead"?
I sent an email to tech support and they suggested that when hooking up to 30A service the "dead" 120 leg should be jumped to the "live" one. I understand what they are doing with that suggestion.
If you rv has 50 amp service and you go to a campground that only has 30 amp 120 v service, do you really have to open up the box and jumper it to avoid a fault?
