If you do use a relay or switch to switch in resistors to change Vout, use it to switch in a resistor in parallel with an existing one in the circuit. Contacts do go bad, especially low signal ones due to the non-cleaning of the contacts from little to no current going through them. Typically with low signal switching, gold contacts are used just for this reason. Wouldn't want your output to swing way high due to an open in that circuit (if on the ground leg of the divider.)
