Top charge Mega Watt
This gp 27 was used for a trolling motor and I used it in our TT last winter. It was charged at 14.4 and would go to float but had poor performance. I just charged it with my show maker which I know is not a good choice but anyway the sg gravity wouldn't come up after many hours at 14.6
I started at 12.58 volts. RV monitors would consider it fully charged and according to a stste of charge chart it would consider it about 95%.
But, the SG was only 1.248
I started charging it with a Mega Watt 12 volt 36 amp power supply. My gauge only goes to 30 amps so I kept adjusting it up as the amps kept dropping off.

pot is all the way up, pretty fast gassing and some odor so I started backing off.

SG had come up to just over 1.250 I have a cheap hydrometer. New one is on it's way.

15.0-----2-----2:15 gassing has slowed, letting it charge at 15.0 and 2 amps
My first observation is that my true deep cycle 6 volt is much more tolerant of 15.5 than this deep/marine as it barely bubbles with just a slight odor. The worse temp increase I've seen was 8 degrees.
The SG was consistent from cell to cell so it would seem a true equalize isn't the issue. I'll let it go and see how long it takes to get the SG up.
