Questions: self drilling/ tapping screws for chassis work

I'm getting ready to install my underbelly cover -- there will be aluminum C channel beams (to support the foam panels and the coroplast under-skin) attached to the underside of the trailer's frame me...

well, for what the OP wants to do, IMHO 1/4" is WAY overkill. A #12 or #14 self drilling will do more than what he wants or needs.

And, no I don't use nor did I quote prices on a sheetmetal screw with 1/4" head.
