Thanks for the additional info. Hadn't thought about cable size, and it appears I can run the solar independently to charge the batteries, and let the factory installed equipment handle everything else as normal. Also appreciate the solenoid link

And yes, there is a lot of info already posted: but often it doesn't address the specific details one is looking for. A few short answers here cleared up the details.
