Thanks for the further responses. A little explanation of our RVing style may be appropriate.
The fridge and stove are propane. If we have shore power available, we may use the microwave and AC. Possibly TV. Most likely not. There's nothing we really need an inverter for. DWs cell phone charges as we travel but is rarely used. Charge lasts a week. My iPhone lasts about 3 days. We like remote primitive camping.
Money is not the primary concern. I want the system designed to last about 5 rainy days. We rarely stay put longer than that. Our power usage is minimal. I just ordered a TM 2025 battery monitor and will install it before we leave for MI the end of the month. It will record our usage, and give me an idea of how much storage and how much charging (number of panels) I'll need. I don't mind paying for a bit of overkill, as long as the system is properly designed. Don't think I'll need an mppt controller but it won't hurt if I use the agm batteries. Waste of money if I use wet cells. As long as the output is adjustable.
