For cleaning the outside of the windshield:
A spray product called Greased Lightning and a plastic scrubby like you you use for cleaning a Teflon coated pan. Use a circular scrubbing motion. Make sure you wear rubber gloves as it will cause the skin on your hands to peel and rinse well with lots of water.
