No, the knob doesn't hit the faceplate. I tried pulling the knob off & using the Gerber's pliers, but it looks like an aluminum knob seat & I'm afraid that I'll bend it if I twist too hard.
Since the valves are vertical, if I put just a bit of lighter fluid on there, will that soften the grease, or do I just have to have the stove rebuilt? Is there a kit I can buy and do it myself, or is it off to Camping World?
