Pulled the valve cover and sure enough the valve was stuck as well the spring retainer had come off. Wasn't able to free things up so ended up pulling the head. Blasted the valve with carb cleaner and it freed up on its own. Throw it back together and started on the first pull. Again thanks for the help. I didn't have a new gasket set but they all came off in one piece with no residue left behind so I tossed it back together.
