- Dusty_RExplorerBack during the first oil crunch, someone came up with a machine that turned garbage into motor oil. I talked to a guy that I knew and he said he had seen it and the oil appeared to be good quality oil. I think the promoter was looking for investors. Roomers had it that a couple locals had invested in it.
Then on day I heard that it was discovered that hidden inside the machine was a can of motor oil. - wa8yxmExplorer IIISome time ago I saw a You Tube video supposed to be out of Detroit about an engine that runs on all sorts of crap..
The demonstrator pulled the stopper out of a glass jug, dumped in all sorts of******(I forget what all he poured in). Put the stopper back and fired the engine up, Ran great, exhaust fumes were harmless.
How did he do it?
Well, I figured out the secret (took me like 2 seconds) If you can find the video go ahead and try.. If you ask I'll tell you. - mlts22ExplorerThe closest I've seen to an engine running on water was a six-stroke engine that had two strokes for sucking water into the piston chamber where it turned to steam. Of course, this means having to carry gasoline in one tank, water in another, and all the high pressure fuel rails for both items... not to mention corrosive-resistant alloys for everything involved... but it did provide more MPG.
- DiskDoctrExplorerHmmm..well, much of our economy runs on "hot air" so I suppose it might be possible to run a car on water. Lol.

- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
I believe he intends this as an elaborate joke. It gave us all some fun. If you are after a little amusement - 2oldmanExplorer II

Oh sure.
My brother knows someone who is working on an engine that runs on water, but it needs a whole lot of refinement and he doesn't want to share the patent with some company that will mothball his invention, so it could be years before he has it ready for market.
