Not there yet, but I tried an RV tank on the home BBQ and it worked. then I took the regulator/pigtail off the home BBQ, took out the Marshall (two pigtails removed one each side of the red/green up top and the trailer line below.
Attached the BBQ thing to the trailer line (just the start thread --they are different threads, but it was on just good enough) and it all worked, getting good flame at the RV stove.
Next I poured mineral spirits down the three holes in the Marshall and sloshed around, got out some orange fluid and put the Marshall back together and hooked up. Slowly opened the tanks supply side first, and the indicator is still showing full red.
I did not substitute the Rv tank- to- Marshall pigtails to the BBQ to see if they were clear/open so that is unproven. I have a regulator I could use for that. With the pigtails on the tank but off the Marshall, and tank open, could not smell propane, but felt a very slight cold air on hand. No hissing.
I did not try the BBQ pigtail on the Marshall as the supply side either. So two things yet to try before it is narrowed down to the Marshall itself.
