Reflectix Insulation Application

Still hot in South Texas. Should Reflectix Insulation be applied to the inside or outside of the windows to keep the heat out?
  • Maybe inside and out? Just kidding, thanks for the comments.
  • TomG2, we put ours inside the window. Between the glass and blind here in Arizona. It sure would work better outside but like another poster stated, that creates a multitude of problems. Just removed ours yesterday since it cooled off here.
  • It'd be more effective to keep the sunlight from ever reaching the glass, so outside would be better. However, keeping it outside has lots of issues- how do you keep it there, wind, theft, damage from "stuff" being outside.

Most I believe will just put it inside for ease of use, and it does pretty well there even if it's not "The Best" from a thermal aspect.
