Reflectix Material

I have used it, I cut it to fit and used the heavy duty metal paper clips from Office Depot to attach, I also did the windows and only used them when I had a lot of light coming in the bunk areas. I really made a difference with heating and a/c in the pup.

So you used it as toppers on the bunk ends, as well as window inserts. Correct?
what width did you wind up using?
And did you install it inside or outside with the clips?

I have a set of inserts for all the windows. Cut to fit in windows, snug (holds itself).
Used Velcro for door windows.
I used the 24" roll.
They have a silver tape that holds great.
I taped a lot of larger odds & ends to reduce waste.
I remove from windows when not needed. Inserts folds up and is stored behind furniture.

No, do not use Reflectix for the outside top of the tent ends. Cut the Reflectix as window inserts and zip them between the canvas and the screen. You want PUGS (Pop Up Gizmos) for the outside top of the bunk beds.

You can buy it by the foot (yard) at many hardware stores.

I used the 48" wide stuff on the outside of the bunkends and it helped keep it cooler inside when it was sunny. In the cool weather it was stored under the mattress to help keep the bed warmer.

I have a camping buddy who had Reflectix, had to replace them, went with Gizmos, did one summer trip, then went back to Reflectix. I made my end covers of Reflectix based on his experience. Clips will not hold when it gets breezey, I let the sides of the top piece hang over the sides about 6" then installed gromets and tied small rope in to make an adjustable length loop, that I hook underneath on the bungee hooks. works great.
I also cut inserts to go in the side windows. edited to clear typos.

Using the PUG's in windy conditions can be a challenge. We had to use several of the black clips from the office supply store when were in Colorado this past summer. Eventually, we got enough on where they wouldn't blow off. If you use only the ones they send, your destined for a miserable time dealing with windy conditions.

If you get the Super High Wind PUGs, you really don't have to worry about wind since they secure under the bunk end.

I wouldnt use the office clips as they will rust the first time they are wet and stain.
