Refrigerator issue

Absorption fridges have to boil the ammonia into a hot vapor which has to be condensed into a cool liquid which then supercools when it comes into contact with the hydrogen gas.
Then it flows thru freezer Low temp evap coil absorbing the heat---until freezer is cold the cool ammonia can not absorb any more heat from food compartment High temp evap coil

Once freezer temps drops to 10*F then the food compartment can be cooled below 40*F

This takes TIME....12 hrs or better on initial startup

One other point......do NOT operate fridge when stationary unless LEVEL
WILL cause overheating issues and obstructions in cooling unit

After just a couple of hours, that is about what you can expect. Give it at least 24 hours.

Freezer will always get cold first. That is inherent in the design of an amonia fridge.
