Refrigerator stopped working

My Dometic fridge in my fifth wheel has been stored for awhile. When I turned it on it did light up and then when I switched to gas it went out, everything. No inside door light, no power at all. Checked fuses, all good. I cant figure this one. Maybe you guys can help before I call the RV mech. Thanks!

  • I finally figured out the problem. Fuse clip was cracked on 3 amp fuse at base. I soldered a new fuse terminal to cotacts and fridge is ice cold! Sorry it took me so long to post but have been out of town. Thankfully it was a cheap fix.
  • After all this rain I was able to swim out to trailer and ck reset button. Still doesnt work. I will recheck everything one more time. EEEERRRRR!!!

Overheat sensor......should have a reset button....center of disc

  • just because a fuse looks good does not mean it is OK. you need to check them with a meter
  • Checked fuses........which fuses?

Did you remove cover on control module on back of fridge in outside compartment and check the 3A Automotive Blade fuse?

And by check fuses..mean pull them, test that they can pass voltage (continuity) and that contacts are clean/tight.......not just LOOK at them??

The 3A supplies ALL DC to fridge provided you have tested that 12V DC is getting to fridge.

Overheat stack temp sensor (thermal disc) tripped..........no DC either
