The MBA is a "lower portion" of the power centre type of converter, not suitable to be moved up front. For that you want a "deck mount"

So leave the converter as is, and get a second charger that is way better for fast charging using the generator, which would be the "adjustable voltage" deck mount style. You can make your own cables from a cut off set of #4 gauge jumper cables.
