Any time your batteries are at 50 percent and you want/need them to charge rapidly, you probably NEED both generators.
Get close to that condition and read the battery voltage with only one gen running. Re-configure for both gen's and read the voltage at the batteries again.
If it goes up a half a volt or more with 2 gens, that may be all you NEED to do. Other things might make it better but may not really be necessary.

So far, you are operating on guess work and most of the advice is just guess work too.....although well meaning and appropriate for SOME circumstances.
PLEASE do some testing and don't spend a **** load of time and money on something things that you don't really need.
